Helping Wood Industry Grow and Expand

On 16 January 2015, 25 representatives of leading businesses and SMEs from the Kosovo wood industry from both north and south Kosovo came together to try helping in wood industry and its expansion. This meeting was supported by USAID’s EMPOWER Private Sector to help local wood processing companies overcome identified challenges and as a group, grow current markets and expand to new ones, thus increasing sales and creating more jobs. Among many comments from the active discussion of participants, Sheqer Ukaj from ELNOR Company said that it is high time to begin changing the perceptions of outside markets about the quality of Kosovo products.
