PRIVATE SECTOR-LED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY

Achievements for the USAID Workforce Development Activity:
- The activity created "Sectoral Workforce Councils", a platform for the private sector in the Agribusiness, ICT and Wood Processing sectors. Each Council represents diverse expertise from the relevant industry, including the private sector, training providers, ministries, government agencies and NGOs;
- The Association of Wood Processors has been elected the leader of the Council in the field of wood processing, where there are a total of 20 members;
- During the year, the Council developed and approved the work regulation, validated the data related to the sector and identified the most wanted profiles;
-Together with the members of the Council, the criteria for the call for innovation grants for workforce development were developed, as well as the Council selected the estimated grants committee that evaluated the applications for the first call;
- To identify policies related to the workforce, the Activity has established 3 policy working groups for each Council.
