Strengthening the manufacturing industry and supporting local producers are primary objectives of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation.

At a working meeting with representatives of sectoral associations from Kosovo’s manufacturing industry, we discussed the challenges and issues faced by local producers.

As the line ministry, we are committed to increasing support for local businesses by placing innovation at the center of economic development. We also aim to increase production capacities and strengthen the competitiveness of the country’s manufacturing, processing, and service industries, as well as replace imports with local products.

Industrial associations are among the key stakeholders in the drafting of industrial policies. In particular, their contribution has been important in drafting the Strategy for Industrial Development and Business Support – SIDBS 2030, as well as in designing support schemes for businesses.

In this direction, we are also working on the auditing and assessment of industrial zones, with the aim of identifying opportunities for their modernization and further development, as well as facilitating the growth of Kosovo’s production capacities.

Local producers are the first indicators of an improved business environment, the promotion of innovation, better market functioning, and the reduction of the trade deficit in our economy.

Our government remains committed to local producers and works together with them for the development of the country.
